Solus shine bright at the National FMCG Awards
This year's event was hosted by Irish broadcaster and Newstalk presenter Ivan Yates and a total of 23 awards were presented at the lunchtime event. The awards, now in their 10th year, paid tribute to the leading brand innovations and marketing campaigns of the past year, with some of the biggest names in the sector being honoured.
"The Checkout National FMCG awards acknowledge excellence in new product development, best-in-class merchandising and sales support, innovation in advertising and marketing, and effective sponsorship campaigns by retailers and suppliers," said Maev Martin, editor, Checkout magazine.
"The awards also recognise brand performance in the annual Checkout Top 100 Brands report, produced by Checkout in association with Nielsen.
“This year we honoured everything from product re-launches to brand new products and promotional initiatives, as well as charitable endeavours and dynamic cross media campaigns. The calibre of entries, nominees and winners was truly outstanding and augurs well for the continued growth and prosperity of Ireland's FMCG sector."
